Directv Fast Pay

I couldn’t login to my directv account on the Dec 5, so I used the FastPay option listed on the website. Everything seemed fine. I got an email confirming my payment to directv & the next day the website showed I made a payment and owe $0.00 (still shows that).

Dec 14,  I noticed I’ve been charged a random $30 from ATT. I call directv, because I don’t have ATT services except directv (they might have sold, but clearly still intertwined). They tell me they can see the charge coming out, but can’t stop it or tell me what it’s for. I’m then told I owe $120 on my bill. A bill that was $85 on Dec 5, so even with a late fee it shouldn’t be that.

Has anyone gone through this? I honestly don’t understand how I can see zero balance and they’re seeing I not only still owe my bill, but $35 more.

This is a customer to customer forum with no access to any accounts.  AT&T has sold off all their shares of DTV so no longer have anything to do with billing so they shouldn't be sending you any bills.

I understand that. I unfortunately used https://www.directv.com/support/article/000080018  The FastPay option listed there to pay my directv bill. The website shows I owe $0, but directv is acting like I didn’t pay my bill. I guess I’m wondering if ATT, basically stole my money.

When a payment is submitted it cannot be stopped. It doesn't sit in a pending status for so long to see if you're sure.

You mention a late fee. By chance were you so far past due that your service was interrupted? They do have a restore fee of $20. And if your account was on autopay, or autopay reinstated, perhaps it accounted for remaining days in the bill month.

For more info you would have to read through the current and previous bill and see how it lines up regarding the charges. As for the payment itself, that is an unknown without further info. But if DirecTV can see it on your account, then it just goes toward whatever charges you are billed at that point.

But if that $30 is not on DirecTV, and isn't a case of billing label not changed over (from AT&T back to DirecTV with the separation), then you will need to call AT&T to discuss. Though they do have a missing/misapplied (or other payment dispute) online support page and a form that can be filled out if needed.

(At the moment it also still lists DirecTV in the dropdown. That should eventually change to DirecTV having their own support form in the coming months)
