Directv Verify my identity

I am trying to switch from Directv to ATT TV and I was told in the phone I had to verify my identity on directv.com/verifymyidentity that website does not exist. Can you post a link?

Can’t help with a link but that doesn’t sound right. You don’t switch to ATT TV. What you need to do is cancel Directv and order ATT TV, which you can do in any order. If you are still under contract for Directv, you will still be charged an ETF.

Either agent told you wrong, or that wasn't a AT&T or DirecTV agent.

AT&T TV and DirecTV have nothing to do with each other so there is no "switch" process. You cancel one and activate the other, or have both if you want.

Call AT&T to order their TV service. Then call DirecTV and when you get the voice system say "cancel" to route you to the correct department. Ideally AT&T agent can transfer you to the DirecTV side, but their transfers have not had a good track record.

Remember you are billed for the full service month regardless of when you cancel. So make sure you are at the end of your current month, not a few days into one.
