Dispute charges

I need to dispite and ask for my account get cleared since my account was never hooked up at my new house.  I'm a 20 plus year customer of DTV and sad that this has happened to me....my account number is xxxxxxxx (or at least was my account number)...Please advise on my next steps to help me get my account to zero and not at 744.50....My account was never hooked up.  In addtion to that I returned all the equiptment on 9/22/22.

Ok so you had an account, moved, but for whatever reason did not have it installed at the new place.

The big question is, did you call DirecTV at that time to cancel the account? If so then you call DirecTV back and dispute the charges as the account (and movers order if placed) should have been canceled. Be aware that there is no proration, even with moving, so you would owe for the entire service month.

However if you didn't call DirecTV and cancel, then they had no idea and account would remain open with valid charges. Even if you had a movers order that did not complete, the tech cannot cancel the account as is your responsibility to call DirecTV.
