Equipment Fee

I cancelled my DirecTV in November 2023. I returned my equipment through UPS as directed by the due date. I am still getting contacted by DirecTV saying I didn't return my equipment. I have my return receipt from UPS so that's false. Am I lost in some black hole because AT&T split off DirecTV from them around that same time so they don't communicate anymore? And my equipment got returned to AT&T and that was never communicated to the DirecTV people? I am so beyond frustrated at this point.

AFAIK UPS/FedEx has always bulk ship the receivers to DTV's refurbishment division.  Unless they actually charge you the NRF fee ignore them.

Have you been charged the non-return fee (NRF) or just getting reminder notices to return the equipment? If just notices, not an actual charge, then you can disregard as those are automated. FedEx and The UPS Store locations do a bulk return, per their arrangement with AT&T and DirecTV, so don't do individual shipments. Just take good care of that receipt if ever that NRF were to charge.
