Fighting for Equal Pricing
Greetings,
I am frustrated to find that every year I am required to jump through many hoops to try and get equal pricing. Why as a 10 year+ customer am I not eligible for the same pricing as a new customer? And why does my pan price change yearly when I am not changing the plan I am on? The channels do not change yet every year my price goes up. I do not mind paying for the extra items that I request: such as; DVR and extra receivers. But each year I am told that I will have to call back and try and find a new deal or my price will go up. Yet every time a I call "there is nothing available" and I have to cal numerous times to wait for ongoing customer promos or wait for someone to call me, which has never happen.

We all got to be new customers once and take advantage of those new customer deals. It's unrealistic to expect those prices to last forever. They're a marketing ploy to attract new customers, pure and simple. Traditional cable/satellite providers are losing money as folks jump to streaming alternatives, so these sweet prices are no longer affordable. In fact AT&T's CEO has stated they'll cut back on them.

@Patron10yrs
You got "equal" pricing. Everybody was a new customer once. That intro offer is one-time. New customers do not get the starting pricing for life, only the 1st 12 months.
You don't want "equal" pricing, you want to keep the new customer special forever which is not going to happen. Discounts are a temporary perk. If you cannot afford service without discounts, then you cannot afford it and should reduce services until within budget.
