Wind stream?! Do you have DIRECTV STREAM or DIRECTV satellite service? Are you logging onto DIRECTV.com for your TV services? Do you get any care code or error when logging in? What happens if you try to login on a different browser or device?

I have Direct TV satellite service. I log in to Directv.com and my service is there but my billing tells me to go to Windstream. When I called Windstream, they do not have a record of my account number. When I call Direct...no one can help me???!!! I did not think Direct could get any more frustrating but here we are!

Iirc Windstream is a satellite internet service, do you have Windstream satellite internet? If so it definitely sounds like it's bundled with your DirecTV service and that's why it's directing you to Windstream to pay the bill

Windstream is hardline internet. Wildblue, ViaSat, and HughesNet are the satellite internet providers.
You should only be redirected to Windstream if your service is bundled onto Windstream's bill. They were a bundle internet partner at one point (don't know if they still are, but existing joint billing may remain). If so, you would use Windstream's account number, not DirecTV's.

To be clear if you have a combined bill, then you pay Windstream. DirecTV bills them and then they (Windstream) bill you to reimburse them.

Ok. I have never had a combined bill with Windstream and Direct TV. They have alway been separate.

If your bills have always been separate, and didn't combine recently, then something weird is going on. I would clear cache/cookies, close all windows and tab of your browser, and then try again.
DirecTV knowing you have Windstream should only happen if the bill is combined.
I would also run a virus and/or malware scan to be safe incase you are getting a malicious redirect.
