Doesn't change anything except DTV will bill you directly.

If you have a combined bill between DirecTV and Centurylink and unjoin them, a couple of updates.
Centurylink normally will return the last billed amount back to DirecTV to bill you directly. That would result in one bill from DirecTV covering last month (what Centurylink returned) and your next month. Just something to be ready for that you will have one high bill as it covers both those months.
If you have a joint bill discount ($5 or $10 if I recall correctly), that will discontinue of course.
And if it matters, once you are back on being billed direclty from DirecTV, you no longer have restrictions on what you are allowed to watch. Centurylink/Qwest blocked content they didn't approve of when you have a joint bill as goes against their company morals. They are a good service (though need to expand a bit as they can no longer say some states have no need for better internet), but this is crossing an ethical line (in my opinion).
