I'll be sending Direct TV a bill.

Since you have decided to use my TV as a bill board during pauses I have decided to charge Direct TV an adverising fee.  I Pause about 8 times a day for 5 minutes.  The per minute charge is $500.  That comes to $20,000 per day starting from when you instituted pause advertising.  Please contact me as soon as possible for addressing information to avoid late fees.

This is a customer to customer forum other than a few employees on their own time and the moderators no one from DTV/AT&T reads these posts.

This post cannot be serious. As a viewer, you cannot bill any TV provider an advertising fee. It is up to the TV provider what they use as a screen saver. Nothing prohibits them from advertising other programming they offer.

With this billing request so outrageous it must be a joke. No sane person could think they can demand this kind of money for a company advertising their own products and services through their own medium.

If you don't like the advertisement screen saver, you disconnect your setup from the internet. Eventually it returns to the logo screen saver, though anything already recorded might still have the advertising one.

And customer support doesn't contact you. You call them, not the other way around. Though in this situation all the agents can do is note your complaint as they do not control AT&T/DirecTV's advertising and marketing decisions. Just don't make the same ludicrous request for money as you did here as likely many agents will have difficulty stifling their laughter.

Yeah, no one is paying you anything. If you don’t like the ads you can disconnect your receiver from the internet. As mentioned by @Juniper this is a customer forum. No representative from att will respond to this post, and most certainly won’t respond to your “bill.”
