Internet and pricing

I am just interested in the NFL package. Do I have to get the internet from AT&T, and how much is the 2nd year of the NFL package?

To get the NFL Sunday Ticket you must get DirecTV. They have an exclusive agreement with the NFL. This is by satellite TV, not internet.

There is a streaming only version of Sunday Ticket but that is only available if you are unable to receive satellite service. If you qualify for it, it does not matter who your internet provider is.

Thanks, and yes, I have had Direct TV in the past, with the NFL package, in the 90's.  A search of current direct tv packages, (aka AT&T), indicate it is bundled with the internet.  There is a package, which is called direct choice, that is $69.99 for 12 months, and it includes the NFL. A 2 year agreement is required. So again, do I have to get the internet, and how much is the 2nd year of the contract? Sorry, I should have been more specific.

No, you do not need to get ATT internet. That appears to be the standard new customer pricing with or without internet. Sorry, I do not know the price after the 12 month discount expires but you can expect in the neighborhood of $50 more and of course the Sunday Ticket will be extra too.

NFL Sunday Ticket historically is included in most intro offers.

Packages do not have "direct" in the name. They are Family, Select, Entertainment, Choice, Xtra (and apparently Preferred Xtra is still available for those that watch little to no sports), Ultimate and Premier. So Choice tends to be the minimum package level that qualifies for the special.

You do NOT need to get internet. Since AT&T owns DirecTV, they encourage bundles with their other services, but that is not a requirement to have the NFL Sunday Ticket.

It depends on how much service and equipment you get on the final cost. The fine print of the offer, as well as the order confirmation emailed before you are installed,  will have the details. Intro discounts could be $30 - $50 off for the 1st 12 months, but depends on your exact special.

As a note, the NFL Sunday Ticket still works on a annual renewal. Time frame is June is renewal notice with July the 1st of 6 installments that you pay. You have until the season starts in September to opt out before you are locked in (and of course get any already billed installments reversed).
