Live chat

Can anyone tell me how to get a Live chat rep? Everything here talks about being able to Live chat with support but nothing - NOTHING! - gets me there! Didn't work this way before AT&T took over DirecTV!

Click the contact us link at the bottom of the page and select the service you want, you should see a chat option on the resulting page.

The Chat link is on the "contact us page". But it is only there when a chat agent is available as does not have a hold queue like when you call.

However, I personally would avoid chat. Their options are limited, customer support gets no record of the transcripts, and reliability of information has been very questionable recently.

Had a new roof installed today and had to remove satellite and put back up. Tried to restart tv but keeps stopping and saying “acquiring guide data” error 772

Best to start your own thread when unrelated to the topic.

Call DirecTV for a dish relocate as sounds like alignment and/or cabling you did not put back correctly. You could also post details in your own thread to see if other users could give guidance to DIY again, or there are videos on YouTube that could help.
