Looking for Solutions to MAX sign in for Direct TV / AT&T customers who got the Can’t Verify Subscription message

I have seen some people got their sign in issue resolved by Direct TV / AT&T.  Can someone post the solutions that worked.

I have changed my AT&T / Direct TV password snd this did not work.  MAX say's its Direct TV / AT&T that is not authorizing / syncing the account to MAX.

We're sorry you're having trouble logging in to your Max account, @otterman33. Which device are you using? To sign in successfully, you must choose DIRECTV as your TV provider. If impossible, try signing in from a computer using a code and linking MAX to DIRECTV. Is this useful? Let me know. Raymund, DIRECTV Community Specialist

Problem with all 3. Apple TV, MAX app and web site.  Unsuccessful with all.  I did scan QR code but it took me toAX sign on page and still got the same “can’t very subscription” message.

For every customer having the same issue, here's what we did to resolve the issue:

-Customer has combined bill for AT&T and DIRECTV. Cx used AT&T logins to sign in to Max which is subscribed through DIRECTV.
-Advised customer to create online account for DIRECTV through https://www.directv.com/accounts/registration since changes on DIRECTV service can only be made using DIRECTV login credentials and through DIRECTV app/website. Once he's done creating online account, advised to log in to Max using DIRECTV logins and was successfully logged in.

I have this recurring issue. I have Max for free through my AT&T/Direct TV account and am unable to get past the "connect your provider" error. Even after "connecting" it loops back to the same error "connect your provider"

Known issue with AT&T and DirecTV separating. For some of us the solution has been to use Max's chat support. They (after some initial troubleshooting) delink the Max and DirecTV accounts so you can relink them. I guess that way the link is cleared of any outdated data that may still be tied to AT&T.
