Loyalty team doesn't care

I recently looked at my bill and it doubled from 74 to 143 per month with no changes. When I called and talked to the so called Loyalty team she was rude, and said she could drop it down 30.00. Then I asked her why would I give 100.00 per month for something I can get for 50 to 60 from every other service. I was basically told thats the way it is. I then chated online with the ATT people, after 5 minutes all of the team dropped out, and nobody did or said anything. i did not cuss or was screaming. i have been a customer for 10 years, and before thaat I was one for another 10 years. If this is there loyaly dept. All I got to say is wow.

they cant give you whats not there, im assuming your promotions expired and the bill went to retail pricing, they arent offering any discounts or promotions for exiting customers.

Problem was i didn't want to exit. I like the service. But if there price is that much higher, then I have no choice. The biggest problem, was how rude they were. Customer service this day and age is not any good.

Discounts are temporary perks. Service is high cost because the networks charge TV providers a lot to be carried. So over $100 is a normal bill. Remember most pricing you see advertised is discounted intro price and probably doesn't include all charges as not everyone gets the same setup.

Perhaps the agent could have conveyed the answer better, but bottom line is they cannot provide you a price that doesn't exist. Their CEO has pulled back discounts to address issues of customers who are a loss to the company. If you cannot afford without discounts then it is your responsibility to reduce service until within budget. Loyalty does not mean giving away service for less than it costs, regardless of how much you think you should pay.
