Military discount
I’m an army veteran with DirecTV satellite service. How do I get the 25% discount off my present bill?

You don’t. Directv does not offer a military discount.

DTV doesn't have any group discounts.

Actually shannon02 and sandblaster, you're both wrong. They do offer a military discount. You might consider not answering questions you're not informed on. You must call DIRECTV customer service.

DirecTV does not have group discounts (military, low income, etc.). And remember AT&T discounts are not DirecTV discounts (separate services with their own programs).
Unfortunately there are scams out there offering huge (i.e. 25%) discounts to catch customers.
And getting a discount on your bill, no matter the amount, is something your account individually qualified for. An agent can 'spin' the savings any way they want, but doesn't change that DirecTV has not done a military discount.

@timscheer1 Believe what you want but I know I’m not wrong. Directv did briefly offer a military discount but only if you had wireless service and a specific now grandfathered plan. I have that plan and actually do get the discount but existing customers can’t add that discount.

I also have that plan, and i'm sorry to inform you that they do still offer it. They just don't advertise it. Also I have only directv, purchased directly thru directv. It's clearly discounted on my bill. I don't need to "believe what I want, I get the discount... as do you it sounds like.

The discount for wireless comes from the AT&T side for that. So that is not a discount offered from the DirecTV side itself.
Do not send your military ID as that should only be copied/scanned by official government or medical (Tricare insurance card) reasons. Also if you have the old style (Blue, Red, etc.), time to get the new USID as must be swapped.

Older cards are even more at risk as they have your SSN on them (changed to DoD ID in 2011). But all those Teslin (paper card, manually laminated) are transitioning across the board to the USID. Brings everyone up to current standards removing issues of the old cards, including some things that caused confusion.
If any friends, family, etc. have those old style cards, advise them to go into their closest DEERS/RAPIDS office in the near future. You can GOOGLE Rapids Site Locator to get contact info, hours, and for some offices to set an appointment.
