NEED ENGLISH NATIVE SPEAKING CUSTOMER SERVICE

I spent over an hour on the phone on the 28th to get my dish removed and relocated off of the roof. The roof is being replaced after Hurricane IDA. I was transferred to 5 different people through out my call, requiring me to re explain each time and give my pass-code and phone number. No English native speaking people. Contractor came today, but couldn't do anything because they sent him a order to repair, not relocate. SO back on the phone again, for over an hour, only 4 people this time, requiring me to re explain each time and give my pass-code and phone number. Explaining each time, i need the dish off the roof and put on a pole. It seems like no one could comprehend what i was trying to explain. Now my  day is wasted, and i have a new appointment on Wednesday. Another day shot! We need better customer service for Direct Tv or i'll have to go to cable. I've been with Direct TV for over 10 years, and several moves, but with service like this, it's going to be hard to keep it.

Does Direct TV care about their long time customers at all.

SHANNON POSTED ON MY LAST COMMENT THAT THEY CANT TAKE IT OFF THE ROOF ? OK FINE

BUT THEY CAN COME PUT IT WHERE IT NEEDS TO BE ON A POST !

WE NEED PEOPLE WITH THE ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND YOUR NEEDS

When you call you get the next available agent. There is no way to request country of origin, what their 1st language is, gender, etc.

Correct that once installed, dish is never removed as is your property. If you need a new location for a dish, that normally means a new one is installed. Be prepared that a pole mount is custom work that is charged additional by tech on site in addition to the service call cost.

Call DirecTV back and request a "Dish Relocate". Hopefully that will streamline it for you.

Juniper, i'm just requesting people who are not struggling to understand english. I work with spanish speaking and various asian speaking people in my professional life with out a problem. It should not take 1 hour or more to explain that i need the dish relocated. It should not be 1 hour of being transferred to different departments, 4, and then send a guy out for a repair job. It is simple Roof damaged in hurricane Ida, getting roof replaced. Need dish put on a pole ! why is that difficult

I get you want to easily understand someone. Though that is arguable with a large country as ours where regions can have greatly different accents or dialects. Such as New England to "Deep South" and you pretty much need a translator even though it is all "English".

But the response remains the same. There is not an option to request what you want. If you cannot communicate with whoever is on the phone, you either request a supervisor or callback and try the next agent.
