Need to speak to the supervisor's supervisor, how can I get a hold of them

Need to speak to the supervisor's supervisor, how can I get a hold of them. I need to speak to someone who CAN do something not someone to tell me what they CAN'T do.

So what makes you think what you want is possible. You aren’t going to reach any supervisors here but if you explain what you want, maybe someone here can say if it’s possible.

Well over the phone, supervisor is as high as you go. If that doesn't resolve the issue, then you can try a BBB complaint as that hits the corporate level.

However trying to take it higher doesn't guarantee you will get a different answer. What exactly is going on? Perhaps some additional info or guidance could be provided to help.

Long long story but the highlights are, have been w AT&T 20+ years have been w direct TV for like 10. Built a new house and apparently the hoa isn't allowing the dishes. I called and told direct TV, they said OK. No cancellation fee, I only officially had one month left anyway. And they owed me a 103.00 refund. Well I just got a bill for 208.00. After 2 hours and 5 people later the supervisor tells me too bad, not those words but.......  So I need to speak to someone

If you place a Movers order and upon install the tech is unable to do so because cannot get good line of sight (such as trees in the way), then they close the appointment for that reason. When you cancel the agent submits a waiver on the ECF with the no line of sight (NLOS) confirmed by the tech.

Now the HOA legally cannot forbid you from having a dish. This is per Federal regulation (OTARD). Landlords, HOAs, and the like at best can have reasonable restriction on placement but that is it.

Unfortunately HOA being difficult does not get ECF waived. Either the agent you originally spoke with was mistaken or just said what you wanted to hear as didn't want to be the bearer of bad news.

However, 1 month left would have been a small ECF. It is valued at $20 for each month remaining. Also a refund upon cancellation doesn't make sense. They stopped prorating service a couple years ago so you pay for the full service month. So unless there is something else to affect your bill, I would say you got bad info on what to expect.

Sorry I had hoped it was a situation where some additional suggestions could be given. At best a complaint on the first agent (through supervisor or BBB) for providing incorrect info may be done. But billing would only be adjusted if it was incorrect, not if agent quoted wrong.

DTV has to send a tech to verify there is no Line Of Sight(LOS) before you can cancel without the ECF/ETF and HOAs can't prevent a dish install in an area under your exclusive control like a patio/balcony.

So the early termination should only be 20 bucks? Why did they charge me 312.00?

Well $312 is certainly not just an ECF. What are the exact line items of that bill? Is for DirecTV only, or do you have a combined bill with other AT&T services?

You could also screen shot the itemized bill to see if a fresh set of eyes could sort it out. Just don't post personal info (like account number, address, etc.) for your privacy and protection.

@Bodihigh

This is a public forum of other customers. If you want guidance, please start a fresh thread as you've posted to one from 2021. When you do so, explain the situation in full as your two posts so far give nothing to go on.
