NFL Sunday Ticket - not getting the free season
If you are a new subscriber - check your bill!! I signed up in April, was supposed to get 2019 NFL Sunday Ticket - and here we are in August and AT&T tries to charge me the first of six installments for the package.
Called - first guy says I got 2018 season for free. Nice try, by April the season is done - but I do admire his attempt to get me to pay. Second guy in the billing department graciously took some heat from me and fixed it. Said it was a "system error" problem.
Check your bills!!

New subscriber or old, you should check your bill. That way for the NFL Sunday Ticket you catch renewal notice on June bill and 1st of 6 installments in July and can opt out before the season starts. Or like an example here, having a billing issue where you start April 2019 with getting the Sunday Ticket free for the upcoming season but it charges.
So I whole-heartedly agree with checking the bills, as well as order confirmation. Even if you don't read fully through the bill each month, at bare minimum be aware of what you pay so any concerns can be addressed immediately, like you did.
Wish more people were this financially responsible. Too many go their merry way not caring what they are paying, or that they shouldn't ever have to read a bill.

AT&T has been moving DirecTV accounts to a new billing system this year, instead of DirecTV being a completely different system from AT&T's. I wonder if this is another hiccup along that route as they are smoothing it all out.

How did you get them to remove it? Did it reflect immediately? I signed up at the end of January. I never had Sunday Ticket as the regular season games were over. It's not on any billing statement since sign up, not even a note about renewal. I was billed Thursday (conveniently day 1 of the season so I was repeatedly told I can't cancel) for the full price. I was told, finally, that it was removed and given a "confirmation number" over the phone, but it's still not actually been removed. I had to shut off auto pay and lose the discount, because they have already made mistakes in billing and refused to refund the overage they charged. I wasn't willing to let them hold up another $400 and credit my "future bills". I'm quite over this service already.

A few have commented this is ATT versus Directv billing and customer systems getting merged. Probably true, but still unacceptable. Why is it they never screw up billing and credit card numbers!! Got to simply watch it and don’t up getting what they promised!
