not happy with service or new plan increase

I've been a customer since 1999 and I noticed that my service doesn't work as well as it usto  channels stick MSNBC goes out on a regular basis and I have to call.

I just called the retention department to lower my bill.  I'm losing a $50 dollar credit. and he could only offer me $40 dollars. which will not really give me a discount since my bill has increased and I will be paying 40 dollars more than i am currently paying. We also looked at lowering my plan and I noticed that Aspire, BETHR, MTV are not in the lower plans so I'm stuck with keeping what I have. In the past I would be offered another channel or a discount on my movie extra package.  I'm really going to look at xfinity  or sling.

MTV is in most packages (Entertainment, Choice, Xtra, Ultimate, Premier). BET HER is a special network so only in Ultimate or Premier, essentially their highest options.

You cannot be offered another channel by itself. Channels are in packages or add-on packs, not al-a-carte. So anything you were offered in the past was part of something a bit bigger than just a single channel.

A $50 discount wouldn't be permanent. In fact that high a discount was short lived as was something from the AT&T acquisition. In general discounts are temporary perks, not a way to make the bill affordable. Because networks charge a premium for their channels and raise that cost over the years, then TV providers must follow suit. Hence the annual price adjustment that you have been through several times (this is not the first). If you cannot afford without discounts, then up to you to reduce service until within budget. They are a business and can no longer afford to just throw money and free services at the customer.

As for service not working well, need more info to narrow down exact problem and provide guidance.

What are the models of each box you have?

Describe issues in full detail (symptoms, error messages, etc.)

You said you have called about the problem, well what did they say?

Any troubleshooting already done?
