One of your clients is using my email address

One of your clients is using my email address for his DirectTV.com account. I don't even live in the USA.

Can you please stop sending me emails? Can you please start using email address verification??

Nobody here can help you with that. Call or chat directly with DirecTV. But other than the annoyance of getting that person's DirecTV email messages, it doesn't really affect you financially. Eventually that person will figure out that their account has the wrong email.

Directv won’t even talk to you since it’s not your account and only the account owner can change the email address associated with their account. Just mark them as spam.

If the OP wanted to make trouble, and is in the EU, he could claim to his local GDPR officials that DIRECTV has stored his personal information (to whit, his e-mail address) and is refusing to comply with a request to delete it.

None of our clients as we are just customers (clients). This is a public community forum, not official support.

Unfortunately, anybody can list whatever phone or email they want as their contact info and change at any time. If someone puts a typo, or it was done on purpose, the person who gets the email in error doesn't have much option. Ignore, delete, refuse delivery, and move on. Even if you were in country, calling customer support wouldn't help as they cannot make changes on a DirecTV account that is not yours.

And extreme option could be a BBB complaint. I agree they (DirecTV) should have an option, perhaps in the email itself, to report that it is not yours so they can notify the account owner they need to update their email contact info.
