Our service was stopped

We turned on the tv a couple of nights ago to a black screen that said “to pay your bill....”

We HAVE PAID our bill, as we have each month for the past several years. My husband tried to talk to someone on the phone, and was told he needed to tell her the PIN number...which he did not know. He said “It’s a monthly bill that I pay you. If I wanted to give you my credit card number right now to pay something, would you need my PIN number?” She said no. But would not help him without it. He asked to talk to her supervisor. She said “She’s busy”. So he told her to tell her supervisor that she could come here personally and take our Directv satellite and box and we’d be done with them.

Log into your account line to check balance information and account status. You can also pay bill there.

Verify with your card issuer on payments.

Only call the AT&T specific number if you are checking balance and payments for a combined bill. Otherwise if billed from DirecTV itself, or to manage account, make sure you call the DirecTV specific number.

As a note to your last comment: DirecTV never sends someone to remove your equipment. You take the boxes to a participating shipping location when you deactivate them (or close the entire account). The receiving satellite dish stays where it is as upon install that is now your property.

Have you checked your account online?

No, we were trying to just find out what the deal was without looking up account number and all that crap for something that shouldn’t be happening in the first place. We don’t pay online so we don’t just keep all that information where it’s regularly accessible. He just called from his work, just wanted some information and got nothing.
