You would need to call to get them to issue a refund but refunds can take 6-8 weeks to process. Your next bill will likely be due before you get the refund, it’s better to just leave the credit so your next bill will be less.
Once payment is submitted it is final. Overpayment shows as a credit balance until next bill comes out that it goes towards.
You can try calling DirecTV and making a manual refund request. Normal time frame is reviewed within 10 business days to approve or decline it. As you made the overpayment, and the next bill would likely be out by the time it is reviewed, historically such a request gets denied.
