dtv sAYS: You will access the Paramount+ with SHOWTIME plan on the Paramount+ app by going to paramountplus.com and creating an account using your Directv username and password.

I agree - this simply doesn't work: it says "Your provider subscription package doesn't include access to Paramount+.subscription" even though I have repeatedly - and I mean repeatedly - confirmed with DirecTV that it does. DirecTV says it's Paramount's problem, Paramount says it's DirecTV's and I am at the end of my rope. CLEARLY there is a significant issue with the switchover and both DirecTV and Paramount are acting like they have no idea about it. I have spent literally hours on the phone with both of them to no end whatsoever: it's always winds up, "call the other guy" or "we'll get back to you."
I have tried:
Signing in using DirecTV as my service provide on the Paramount+ website.
Signing in directly to Paramount+ on their website.
Uninstalling and re-installing the Paramount+ app on my firestick.
Re-starting my firestick and wifi and emptying the cache.
Signing in using DirectTVstream as my provider (even though my account is satellite)
I have never had a Paramount+ account; my existing Showtime account with DirecTV was converted per this press notice:https://www.directv.com/insider/paramountplus-sho/. So there's no Paramount account for me to sign in to or delete (both of which were suggested to me).
I iterate: CLEARLY there is a problem with DirecTV Showtime subscribers and the transition to ParamountPlus. Why can't you guys get together and resolve this? In the meantime I am paying for a service which you aren't providing and - from the conversations I've had with both companies - aren't even trying to provide.

I had a similar problem but Paramount + said I had an account when I didn't when I tried to log in with my DTV log in so they purged it and I was able to log in using the Paramount + provider log in page.

Thanks. When you say "they", do you mean DirecTV or Paramount? Like I say, each of them tells me that the problem is with the other one.

Paramount+, I would go with Paramount+ as the problem side.

Currently keeps giving me an error message when I try to link directv to paramount plus and the AI robots are not helping. Cancelled my subscription, waited for it to e pire. Got my password correct and nothing works now.
