Payment jump from past due amount to full amount to quickly

I called on my way home from visiting my wife in the hospital in another town after 1am Wednesday morning and my past due amount was a little over $200. As soon as I got home I had trouble logging onto the website a little after 2am so the site locked me out I then called the 800 number again and it said I owe the total amount over $400.I think that's a little to quick I had the past due amount I just couldn't get through to get it paid. I couldn't pay it over the phone because I was driving over the highway from one city to the next. Come on DIRECTV give a guy a break here.

Voice system tends to ask for the entire balance, not just the past due. If your service has not been interrupted, then paying just the past due will keep in on. If you were interrupted, then it switches to balance in full required to reinstate service.

 

Give DirecTV and call to verify current account status to see which side of the line you are on to get correct balance info and if past due only or total bill is now due.
