poor customer service
I had internet and tv service with at&t for 4yrs. Went into Costso and Directv rep promised I could keep the same programming but at a lower cost. I gave my account and thought I was getting a good deal. Turns out it put me into a new contract (as a new customer) I took 7 months of me calling to get a consolidated bill and to let them know that I was duped by Directv and that I didnt want or approve of a new account as I was buying a new home and would be moving. I was one the phone over 10 hrs+ over those months trying to ensure that I would not be charged an early termination few, I even had two separate managers to agree that it should not be a new account. I asked them to put that in my files and they both told me it was there. After I moved and canceled the service, (yes, you guessed it) I was charged that $300 early termination fee, with the rep now saying that the new account was valid and the early termination fee did apply. So within 60 days of moving, I now have a attorney harassing me for the $300 fee. This company subcontracts with an unethical company where the representatives uses questionable acts to get you to change plans, offering to lower you bill but does not tell you that it is a new account. At&t is aware and sides with the sub-contactor who they have a large contract with. when this process is done, they both get a fee. At&T get $300 and Directv gets late fees when you try to call in to get it fixed. a win/win for both with the customer getting the short end of the stick. Customers have no recourse but to pay of have it added to credit report. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU CAN HELP IT. YOU WILL GET SCREWED.

those are 3rd party sales, you were duped by the employee that is not directv, directv just activates whats sent over to them so you need to go back to costco and speak with someone at the kiosk, however i dont think theres much they can do since you signed off on it in store.

DirecTV has no store locations of their own. Those are all 3rd party. The ones in Costco are usually a dealer called "Smart Circle". DirecTV only honors what is on the order confirmation as they sent to you to review before your install.
However the agent over the phone sounds like they were just telling you what you wanted to hear.
