Protection plan

About 60 days ago our Direct TV repairman got us to sign up for the protection plan by telling us that it covered computers and their parts should anything happen to them. I had to purchase a new charger for my Surface and now am looking for a way to get reimbursed by Direct TV. Does anyone know if this is in fact true and if so how do I go about getting a refund.

There are 3 levels of the optional protection plan. In many cases it is not a good value. Techs get some sort of compensation for these on-site add-ons or upgrades of equipment beyond the order.

You may have to go through the protection plan first, not get reimbursed later, if you have the correct level.
