SINCE JANUARY 2021 - EVERY MONTH MY BILL CLIMBS HIGHER
My bill is going up higher and higher EVERY month!!! WHY You keep adding more and more to my bill.. Since January my bill is up about $50 more ... If it keeps climbing, I'm going to have to find another company for my internet and TV... this really hurts when I'm on a fixed income, Senior citizen...
I had to pick a category and there is NO category for "BILL" or combined Category for Internet AND TV

I’m not sure your purpose in posting that but this forum is not customer support. No one here has access to your account or can see your bill to explain why it is increasing. I get separate bills for internet and tv but they never change. You need to compare bills to see why they are higher.

DTV only raises the base rates in January with notices sent in November and December and generally no more then $10 so there is something wrong if the bill is still going up but you will have to check them to find out what is changing.

DirecTV only adjusts the bill once a year. Notice is normally in December with new rates effective around mid-January. So going forward the bill would be up to $10 higher depending what you have. Networks charge TV providers more each year, so their costs go up so do our bills.
As that is just ONCE a YEAR, if your bill changes each month then you need to take the time to look through the bills. Check for promotional discounts that ended, new services or PPVs added, perhaps bill not being paid in full resulting in a carry over balance, etc.
Multiple months being different is not DirecTV raising the rates but something else going on. Read the bills for the specific. With about $50 more, most likely that is a discount that just ended which would have shown on the prior bills.

Several months before january and then January bill .. were all the same.. Feb it went up, March went up again, April went up, May went up and then the new one June up again... usually if it is a discount that ended, it goes up all at once... I will have to go online and look at each bill to see where they kept increasing it .. I did go in and get the smallest package of Directv today so it will lower the bill some... But if it does what it did the last time I changed packages to a smaller one, it was not long when the bill went up... I'm not on any special deals right now... The last couple of times I asked about one available, they tell me there aren't any .. They wanted to give me a special deal with my mobile phone by getting a new phone... I already got a new one...
thanks for reply

Price adjustment would have been price a little higher going forward. Not impossible to have a discount that ended in a separate month. But multiple months going up then something else is going on. Review the prior bills and see exactly where the difference is. DirecTV doesn't raise rates month after month, so best to find out what is actually going on.
You say the "smallest" package. Well there are more packages then are advertised, so it is possible you might not have the lowest. But depends on what you watch if good to go down that far or not. Starting from the lowest they are: Family, Select, Entertainment, Choice, Xtra (or Preferred Xtra if you don't watch sports), Ultimate, Premier.
Also check the following 2 bills, as one should be prorated reflecting the change in package and the next what the bill is expected to be going forward. But definitely look for any new discounts showing. There have been a few agents over the years who have thrown on a discount to help lower the bill without properly informing the customer, so they didn't have the expectation of bill going up when it ended. Just something to watch out for.

thanks... I moved to Select... so the bill should be lower next month... Jan billing period was $129 for Choice then starting Feb, Choice went to $136 then all the fees are added and few removed...
What bothers me I'm paying $136 for Choice package.. (before fees are added) - Online, Choice package is $69.99 and Ultimate package is $84.99 so after going down to the Select package, he said I would save $41 which means i'll pay $95.00 for Select yet someone can evidently get the Ultimate package for $84.99
so IMO, their commericals that say the deal is for new customers and old customers, obviously is not true... SAD

Prices online are the advertised intro prices for the 1st 12 months before everything else. Nobody keeps those prices. Never seen a commercial saying those prices are for "old" customers. Those have always been the intro specials. The only thing advertised for existing customers has been the Movers special.
Also your $136 should be "Choice All Included" meaning the 1st TV fee and all receiver services are added, instead of itemizing them separately like older customers. A change made so people had a better expectation of starting costs instead of expecting one price but getting those fees added after the fact if a sales rep didn't go over the details well.

Select is usually the lowest you want to go for many. The Family package though much cheaper ($29.99 just for the package cost), is very small. More to keep kids entertained, or to severely save money for some time before raising it back up.
