Startek, DirecTV's 3rd party installers

DirecTV doesn't use their installers in the company Startek that does them practice fraudulent methods. First of all DirecTV told me that two HDMI cables would be provided for free by the installer, but the installer told me it was $60. So I paid it and when I checked my credit card statement later that evening I found out they charged $101.00 stay away from startek because they are fraud artists!

Standard install means every box will have a cable (usually HDMI unless older TV) provided as it is required to watch the service. Customer service reps cannot promise that additional cables beyond that will be provided for free.

Anything paid on site is between you and the tech as that is for additional/custom work or equipment outside the order. If they misrepresented the service or worse, then file a BBB complaint on Startek. You can call DirecTV and submit a Field Service Request (FSR) complaint on the appointment, but I don't know how worthwhile that will be since this is a 3rd party tech.
