Starz on demand not included with Starz subscription on Directv

I subscribe to Starz, showtime and hbo on Directv, why does Starz want me to pay for on demand?  I thought on demand was included in the subscription

Well that's different it shouldn't be telling you to subscribe. On demand is included with a PAID subscription but not if you're getting free as in a promotion.

Not everything on demand is free, and that's with ANY provider, it's all about streaming rights.

I see. So you're saying there are some things on Starz on-demand I should
get? It's weird, it tells me if I want to use on-demand, I need to get a
subscription with Starz; I was confused. Thanks Ace

I have Showtime Starz and HBO. The HBO is supposed to be included in my ATT
mobile phone plan that I signed up for 4 months ago. I'm being charged
43.00/ month for those 3 channels

If you subscriber to Starz then you get Starz On Demand. It doesn't even have some content as PPVs, like a few other channels have been doing. On Demand should be working shortly after Starz is on the account, taking no more than 24 hours, if your HDDVR is connected to the internet. Try www.directv.com/refresh to refresh the service authorizations or a red button reset of the receiver.

 

As a note, if you ever see one of those free trial weekends they open for everybody, that does not include On Demand as you are not subscribed to the channel.

I called Directv and they straightened it out; for now anyway Thanks again

Actually, after 2 hours on the phone with ATT, I got the answer, I'm sorry.
Our customers shouldn't be treated like this. They couldn't fix it. I was
duped from the beginning by the slick talking salesman. I'm about ready to
drop ATT/directv altogether. They gave me the dreaded 2020 number where
they don't even listen any more.

I have Direct tv. I am paying for Starz. Do I also have to pay for Starz on demand. I cannot watch any on demand . I get this message:Sorry. We have no programs at this time that match the filter you selected.
