Upgraded package, can't stream new channels
Yesterday morning I upgraded from Basic to Choice package. On my TV, this was successful. However, on all streaming services this has not gone through. I've spoken to 5 or 6 Directv employees who keep giving me different non-answers, culminating with them telling me to wait longer today.
Anyone have any ideas? The directv app shows me as still having the basic subscription and only offers those channels, while the individual channel apps (ESPN, Fox Sports) say their channels aren't included in my current package.
However, the directv website shows me as having the Choice package, consistent with my actual satellite tv.
Would love any suggestions before I just give up on DTV altogether. Thanks in advance!

There is no such thing as a ‘Basic’ package. There is just Entertainment, Select, and the lowest package Family. Another user reported this issue as well a day or two back so perhaps it is some sort of ‘outage’ that DIRECTV is having as far as programming. You can still try calling (number in my greeting below) and having an agent look at it. Tell them everything you told us so they understand you.

The package saying "Basic" on your account is an error. The names of the package are Family, Select, Entertainment, Choice, Xtra (or Preferred Xtra if you don't watch sports), Ultimate, Premier.
There is another post which seems to be the same error, both the wrong name for the package and streaming issue.
