Website says hours are until 12: AM Eastern and technical support 24/7. Automated message says they are closed!

I need to talk to someone about the over charging for the past month, the random charges of $9.99 minimum service and charging me for HBO when I am supposed to be getting that free because I have AT&T.  What the heck is minimum service.  Are you charging me for the customer service  you are providing and taking peoples money!  I have been a caretaker for my husband with cancer and just now being able to look into why my bill has been so much and I have a total of over $300 I have paid over the last 5 months because of just random increases and charges! 14 years and after I get my credit, I'm done!

DirecTV hours are only for the DirecTV side. If you get the AT&T side they have more traditional business hours. Then of course they are short staffed right now so may not be keeping up with their normal hours to begin with.

Minimum service is a bare bones package of less desirable channels when you have gone past due far enough to get your service interrupted. That time is not free.

There are not random increases. There is a annual price adjustment which gets notification about the difference. If you bill goes up more than that, then look over the bills for the explanation. Either bill were not being paid in full (per minimum service) and/or prior discounts completed (they show counting down on the bill).

So read through your bills first. If you don't understand them then yes speak to customer support to help you review them.
