why cant I get a service man out to me I am not paying a bill for service I never received

I had my service turned on at our lake home Indiana on May 30th, upon arrival, I had no picture, after waiting on hold

for 1 hour a service representative ran all the tests and said that there was a problem with the dish.  I waited through

3 service scheduled appointments, which   were 4 hours each, no show, no call, and I finally paid another provider to fix my dish, and only received service beginning on June 18th, so I am  refusing to pay for the previous month, in which I had no  service.  I will be glad to pay from June 18th through the present, but please adjust my bill and I will be glad to pay what I owe.

this is a customer forum not directv  and not paying your bill will only result in service suspension, late fees, early termination fees which will be assessed when going to collections, it will also affect your credit. theres no way for you to win by not paying your bill. @Juniper 

 

as this is a public forum i suggest you remove your personal information as potentially 1.2 million forum users can see your name phone number and account number

You have to call DirecTV to discuss the bill. Until any adjustment is made (if ever), the bill remains valid. Refusing to pay does not work in your favor as you go down the collection path (late fees, involuntary interruption of service, reducing your good credit, etc.).

 

Unfortunately per Covid-19 they have been very short handed, both in agents over the phone and techs available. Hopefully with prior troubleshooting and missed appointments in the records that they will provide an adjustment for time without service, but no guarantee as they did not get confirmation of their own tech resolving issue.
