WHY IS IT SO HARD FOR SNOW BIRDS TO CHANGE SERVICE ADDRES?
I have had to spend hours trying to get my Directv service address changed. I am a full time RVer and since AT&T changed everything to be under AT&T the customer service reps. are lost! It should not be this difficult to change our locations as full tie RV- SNOW BIRDS as they called me...FIX THIS AT&T or I will go to DISH.

AT&T changed the policy and appears to have built it into the new account system they are moving us all to.
Physical service address is only allowed to change with a full Movers order. This is because the account is intended for a residence and not to move around in an RV or between two locations. Two residences are supposed to each have their own account, but you can suspend for up to 6 months within a 12 month period. As for RV, you either have a separate account with the Travelers package for RVs, or you still take a box with you but accept you will not get locals through DirecTV itself once out of your home "spot-beam". You will need a regular antenna on the TV for locals within range.
This is an area that DirecTV was lax on and it helped snowbirds, those that travel a lot, etc. But because of this it allowed a loophole for too many people to violate the Terms of Service, even unintentionally (particularly when there are still boxes active at home and the RV at the same time). So AT&T is closing these loopholes to better follow the rules.

They want you to get a Travelers Account. And their new billing system doesn't support changing Service Address without triggering an actual move.
I don't agree with this change, but that's what they did.
