Why was my A&E removed?????

This makes me REALLY angry.  Who decides they get to just remove channels from my lineup without MY approval?? That is unacceptable.  As a customer for nearly 10 years, I expect to be treated with far more dignity than I have received and this is the latest evidence of that. As well, my guide still shows channels I do not get even as I have the option set to show only "channels I get". I have called in numerous times to have this resolved, changed out receivers,  and had the pleasure of staying home from work on multiple occasions to wait around for technicians to arrive and attempt to figure it out, clearly, to no avail. This is just NOT service in any sense of the term and, quite frankly, it is infuriating. I want my channels restituted and my service improved, less i take my business elsewhere.

Read in the TOS about where DTV has the right to change channels and programing at anytime with or without notification.

A&E is still listed in the channel list. Channel should still be viewable until their list is updated to show the channel is not available on the list. IMHO.

IIRC A&E was removed from some of the lower packages.

A&E as well as a couple other networks, were removed from the Select and Entertainment packages. They can do this anytime without your permission as is a clause in the Terms of Service (ToS), which is common for TV providers.

Carriage agreement between TV provider and network owner can change whenever, regardless of your approval. Fortunately those kind of changes do not happen often for any given channel.

(d) Our Programming Changes. Many factors affect the availability, cost and quality of programming and may influence the decision to raise prices and the amount of any increase. These include, among others, programming and other costs, consumer demand, market and shareholder expectations, and changing business conditions. Accordingly, we reserve the unrestricted right to change, rearrange, add or delete our programming packages, the selections in those packages, our prices, technologies used to

deliver the Service, and any other Service we offer, at any time.

I agree the channel lists need to be reviewed to ensure they are current. But they don't have to update the list before the change. It should be updated within a reasonable time of course, but don't know what that time requirement is.
