1000 (DTV) is currently not available

We had a new genie tower installed 2 weeks ago, since then directv on demand does not work. Spoke with 2 different techs today at directv and neither of them were any help.

It can take two or three days for on demand to appear after a new receiver is installed, but not normally two weeks. Do NOT reboot the receiver because that can "start the clock" all over again.

Is your Genie "tower" the HS17 or a different model?

How are you connected to the internet (Ethernet, WiFi, powerline, etc.)?

Did you verify your new Genie ran the internet setup?

Do you have an external Cinema Connection Kit (CCK) on your setup?

Did you try unplugging power from your modem/router for a minute as well?

I suggest using your remote --Menu -Search --(using the remote)-Select SEARCH- TYPE --CLEARMYBOX --press search --then search all --The Hs17 will reboot and reload all the software plugins --*NOTE: after the reboot it will take 24 to 48 hours for the Guide and VOD information to repopulate.

@Juniper  I’m not sure which tower I have. Does it say some where on it? It’s connected via WiFi, and the tech made sure the internet was connected before he left (2 weeks ago). It’s always worked before, so I’m not sure why it’s not now. And yes I did turn off/unplugged for a few minutes and still nothing.

If the "tower" is incapable of going on a TV itself then it is the HS17 as that is the only Headless Server DirecTV has made (so far). Would be on a label on the back or bottom.

Any other Genie goes on a TV, so the label is behind the access card door or can also be found if you go into the menu and then info.
