3 Hard Inquiries on Credit Score in 7 days
Hi,
I hard three (3) Hard Inquiries on my Equifax Credit Report from AT&T.
They are all old, but I would like them fixed as soon as possible. I have not had the time to do anything regarding it since I was working and doing my MBA, but I will get this fixed even if it costs money to file a suit against AT&T.
I moved into a new home and tried to have my Direct TV service in the new address. A technician showed up and said that it could NOT be installed due to the neighbor's tree. I would accept this one to be one inquiry. However, there were two which is an error not fixed by AT&T after I call in. I got two inquiries regarding this. First Inquiry on July 09th, 2017 and a second one July 10th, 2017. This second was clearly a mistake.
Later on, another sales representative called and insisted that the service could probably be provided and would send a new, different technician and that NO new credit would be run since it was for the same purpose. The new technician also stated that the service could NOT be established which was a waste of my time and my wife's time. On top of that, a new inquiry was run.
I have just called AT&T but nobody claim that can help me. I am familiar with the process of reporting. AT&T needs to fix it on its METRO2 file which is sent to the Credit Bureaus like Equifax to fix the error but nobody on the customer service seems to know it.
REALLY DISAPPOINTING. I am telling this story to everybody I know so they DO NOT GET ANY AT&T service of ANY KIND. It is the only thing I can do since nobody tried to contact me to fix it.
Can AT&T act decently and contact me to solve this?!
What do I need to do to get it fixed?

Credit check is only done upon requesting new service. A move order should not result in a credit check, unless you were ordering another service provider (such as internet) at that time.
If these checks are specifically for DirecTV: www.directv.com/notmycreditinquiry
If the checks are from the AT&T side, then you will need to call AT&T 1-800-288-2020.
AT&T will not contact you as that is not how customer service works. Also this is a public forum, not official support.
