Need some clarification on your setup as what you mentioned does not output 4K. HR24 is not a 4K model, and HR54 though needed for a 4K setup doesn't output the 4K directly but through the Client connection (since 4K requirements updated too far into the HR54's production).
What are the models of each box you have?
What one is on the 4K TV itself?
Have you verified the coax to each box/location is free of debris and finger tight?
Is it just the 4K picture gets grainy, or do you have any other symptoms or error messages?
If you have the correct setup and everything inside is ok, there may be a connection issue outside. You mention it gets grainy when it rains, but only affects 4K itself. Well 4K may require a tighter signal than normal HD, a little rain shouldn't be affecting it unless water is getting into the coax where it shouldn't, the dish is out of optimum alignment, or the mounting for the dish is loose causing some minor movement. In these cases you would need to call DirecTV 1-800-531-5000 to schedule a tech to come out.

I feel that the 4K mini genie is not as steady as the hr24. I have 5 hr24. 1 hr54. 1 mini genie 4K.
Sometimes I turn the 4K on and is not connected to the hr54. If I reset both then the mini genie works but sometimes I m watching something and gets disconnected and that is annoying. In general I believe that is not reliable as other equipment of DTV. I have this box because I like to watch movies in 4K but is not nice when it gets disconnected in the middle of the movie.

Wow 5 HR24s. No recording conflicts there. So with your HR54 and C61K you are at a total of 7 devices. That is good since the new billing system puts a hard limit of 8. Avoid the Genie-2 if ever offered or you lose every HDDVR.
A reset of both temporarily fixes the issue. There is either an issue with one of the two boxes, or the connection in-between those two locations. When you do the reset, it is suggested to do the HR54 first and only when completed to co the C61K. That is the preferred reset method to resynch them. However, have you tested if a reset of just one fixes the issue temporarily as well? That would narrow down the issue to one box that would need replacing by DirecTV (delivery $19.95, covered if you have their optional equipment protection plan).

I do reset that way. First the 54 and then the 61.
Thanks for the help.
I use to do the following to clear the ram
Go to channel 1. Once that's loaded and there is audio, press Red, Red, Blue, Blue, Yellow, Green in that order on the remote. Make sure to do it pretty quickly. The TV should then briefly display a message about the NVRAM being cleared in
How I do this clear of the ram now?
No more remotes with color bottoms
Or do you think that is not worth to clear the ram?
Thanks a lot I appreciate very much your time helping me.

You do a search for clearmybox it will also dump the guide data and it takes a day or 2 to rebuild.

Hi Juniper I have been testing and doing the resets that you suggested and yes when I reset the c61k it solves the problem. It wasn’t necessary to reset the HR54 and the C61k. Thanks a lot.
im going to ask for the replacement.
