"Account validation required" after hard drive upgrade on laptop
Nomad was working on LT prior to swapping out the hard drive. App is still working on two iPhones so it appears Nomad thinks it is installed on unauthorized device. I used software to clone the original drive and none of my other programs needed to be reinstalled from scratch. Tried the Repair option from the Nomad Setup but still gives this same 2-0-2 error. I'm a little reluctant to try the Remove option, risking the apparent (confusing) 30 day wait rule to reinstall on same device. What is the recommended procedure to get the app working again on this laptop?

Update - 12/19/2011:
It had been a few days since posting this and hadn't heard from any of our experts for advice, so I got bold and tried the remove and reinstall route. Here is how it was resolved:
Reinstallation Procedure:
1. Start DirectvNomadSetup.exe (redownload it if you deleted your original or want to make sure you start with latest)
2. Select Remove all installed features - click next
3. Select Yes. Remove user settings - click next to complete the uninstall
4. Start DirectvNomadsetup.exe
5. Select Complete - click next
6. click Install
7. Click Finish
What happens next:
Nomad app will start automatically but you'll be prompted to log in to your Directv account.
you will then be presented a PC Activiation dialog box with message - "There are currently issues with your device license. Please add this device again.", plus a warning that you must be within your home network to activate your service.
Two buttons are on this screen - "Exit" and "Reactivate THis PC"
click the latter.
Another dialog box "Successful Activation" with message - "This client has been activated and you have 2 license(s) remaining." (Correct in my case).
Click Next
Yet another dialog box - "Registering Nomad" and a button for "Done" - click and you're all set.
Depending on which setup version you started with, the app will addionally download the latest version of the client for you to install.
So, no worries. I didn't burn an additional license and I didn't have to wait 30 days to reauthorize the same device in this situation. Nicely done, Nomad developers!
