Activate HD Receiver

I get a message on my TV screen that says:  Go to directv.com/activate

When I try to go to that web site, I end up somewhere having nothing to do with activating my new HD Receiver.

I've tried all kinds of on line help to no avail.

I'm at a dead end.

What are the models of every box you have?

Which is the problem one?

Did you already have it or is this a new or replacement box?

If new or replacement, where did you get it?

Did anything happen prior to the issue?

Call, get tech support, tell them the issue. They should be able to do it on their end or tell you what needs to be done. I will agree, the site is a mess and there's a lot of broken links and problems I encounter when I try to do things on it for my own equipment - including things I used to have no issue doing before.
