Adding receiver to a vaction house

is it possible to add a receiver to an existing account for a vacation house that has DTV set up (dish and cables are set up-previous owners had it) just no receiver?

Hi, @littleglowone.

We understand the importance of being able to enjoy your favorite shows while on vacation. We have two options for you to consider. You can either stream online via the DIRECTV App, or you can establish a second account.

Let us know if this is helpful, we are happy to provide further assistance.

For an existing account that would be a Federal violation. Though you might be able to set it up, it is not allowed.

Locals you receive, what sports teams are in-market, and the taxes you are required to pay are all based on the physical service address. So per Terms of Service and Federal regulations you must have a separate account just for the vacation home. You call DirecTV to suspend one account as needed. You can suspend up to 6 months within a 12 month period, which is a $7 monthly vacation hold.
