AMC VOD channel 1254 not Allowing me to Record Content

I am not able to record any content from AMC VOD Channel even though I am subscribed to the AMC channel and can view the regular AMC channel just fine.  I called this problem into DirectTV six days ago and have followed up with two other calls and still the problem persists and no one from DirecTV has yet to contact me. 

 

I have a DirecTV HD DVR HR24-500 connected to the internet.  (Everything else to include other VOD channels seems to be working fine)

 

Anyone else experiencing this issue?

What happens when you try to download/record an AMC VOD show?  Error messages?   Entry in the DVR's History Menu?

I just ran a copy of Mad Men from AMC VOD and it loaded fine.  Sometimes these sites are down for whatever reason but normally return in short order.

Hello.  I  receive the following message : "would you like to add this channel to your Directv package.."  I am already subscribed ( confirmed by four different Directv customer service reps.  When I press "continue" nothing happens.  This problem is only with my channel 1254 AMC VOD.

Thank you.  I have not been able to record from channel 1254 AMC VOD at all,  even  though I am subscribed to this service.  None of the Directv CSRs have been able to figure out why.  All four CSRs that I contacted apologized for the lack of response to my trouble ticket with Directv engineering team and  kindly spent several minutes with me "trouble shooting" and then escalating to their engineering team--unfortunately the Directv engineering team has yet to respond for six days now.

So the problem is that your DVR seems to think you're not subscribed to AMC.  Try refreshing the DVR's programming authorizations from http://www.directv.com/resend

 

If that doesn't work, then you'll need to escalate this problem directly with DirecTV.  Something is wrong with your account authorizations.

litzdog911: Thank you. I never knew about "re-authorization" function--good to know for the future. In this case it didn't fix my issue with channel 1254 AMC VOD. For some reason I am able to view the regular AMC channel 254 ( part of my package) and I have been able to record from channel 254 but I can't record AMC VOD. I created a trouble ticket with Customer Service last week and they did escalate to the Engineering Team--unfortunately there has been no response or a fix since ( seven days now). Thanks for taking a look and providing suggestions--I'll try escalating this issue again this week.

I am happy to report that Directv finally got around to fixing my problem with not being able to record on channel 1254 AMC VOD. Overall it took about two weeks for engineering to get to my ticket and fix it. Everyone I spoke to at Directv was very polite and spent a lot of time with me troubling shooting. We had to escalate my trouble ticket a few times and I was told to wait 72 hours twice. Overall it took about two weeks for engineering to get to my ticket and fix it. I would have preferred some type of status update or feedback from Directv--as it was a bit odd not knowing what was going on or if someone was even going to work on my issue or not. However, I am grateful that the problem was eventually corrected and now I can record content from AMC VOD.

 

I'd also like to thank those of you (litzdog911, dcd) on this forum who offered up your advice as well.Cool
