Are there Cables to Connect a HR54-700 to older TV that had a HR44-500 ?
Received from Direct TV a new satellite receiver HR54-700 to replace a HR44-500. Customer service said they were sending a cable which had three pins *White, Orange, Yellow* on one end and a A/V pin to plug into the HR54-700. So far they have sent a cable with three pins on each end identical to the cable I have, and also sent a cable that has a plug for the HDM1 on both ends.

Yes, you will need the composite(red/white audio yellow video) or component 10 pin din cable to plug into the A/V port on the HR54. You can buy one online.

The 10-pin dongle you can buy yourself online. That should last you until you get an HDTV where you connect by standard HDMI.
