I'm in the same area and notice the same problem. Both on CBS and NBC. It only happens to me after pausing live or on recorded shows.

@jdobyns - seeing the sam thing as you on King 5 as well. Directv response - reset your DVR. Lame. Obviously a problem with them or King 5.

You also have to under stand, that if this is happening in differant parts of the country, then it is more likly to be a network problem then DTV.
DTV is just a relay service, by that, I mean, they recieve a signal from the network, then send it to the Satellite, which then retransmits to you.

To those of you in Seattle, are you having this problem on the SD or HD version of KING5? I'm not seeing it on the HD channel.

I am seeing it on SD on a Directivo R10. I received this message from Directv this morning:
"Our broadcast center is aware of audio problems on KING and is working on resolving this. Thanks for your patience."

People in Kansas City, are you having this problem on standard def or high def? How often is it happening? Do you notice it only on DVR's? Give all details....

Ours is on SD. Only doing it on Direct D16 DVR. Other DVR's are ok. As long as you aren't pausing or taping you're ok. My husband watches almost all KCTV5, so it's a HUGE problem.

I am in the Kansas City market and have problems with KCTV 5 and KSHB 41. We have a standard def TV with a DVR and a high def with high def DVR. The standard def has a slight pause on the picture and the audio skips as well. This does not occur on the high def receiver/DVR. I do not notice this on other channels. In reading the responses here, it sounds like there is no fix, other than to reboot?

reed seoblander's post. DirecTV is apparently working with the station to get the problem fixed. That means almost certainly there is nothing you can do at your end to solve it.
