Background noise on ABC channel only
We haven't watched anything on ABC for months, until this Tuesday when we excitedly tuned in for the season premiere of Lost. We noticed right away a whirring? mechanical? sound in the background throughout the entire show, commercials, etc. It dropped only occasionally on very rare commercials? The audio dropped on occasion for a second here and there as well. In checking it since then, this issue is still there. We called the local station who told us there hadn't been any other complaints about this issue. We also left a message for an engineer there with no response yet. Any ideas, thoughts, advice, similar experiences? This sounds seems to come out of the left channel primarily and occurs on both our tvs/receivers. Happens as you watch in real time and through the DVR recording. Would love to be able to watch our favorite show without dealing with this horribly distracting audio issue. Any help would be great appreciated!

Right on ! abc has been sending out a high pitched screaming for days . It screams for about 10 seconds then broadcasts normally for a random 20 or 30 seconds then screams for 10 seconds. What is wrong with abc ? did they forget to pay their satitilite bill? Kyur-Hd, soldotna, Alaska 99669.

It must be an issue with your local ABC station. Mine works fine. Be sure to contact both DirecTV and the local station.
