Bad contract!!

With any company, read the order confirmation sent to you before install. This way you can review what is actually on the order, regardless of what the sales agent said.

DirecTV intro promotions are 12 months, but the service agreement is 24 months because of the equipment installed. This is clearly written on their order confirmation, along with amount and length of specials, level of equipment and programming, and number of TVs. When you sign off with the tech, you are accepting that the install and order (including 24 month service agreement) are correct and to satisfaction.

DirecTV has 24 hours from install to close the account before the service agreement is considered secure. After that you would have a valid 24 month service agreement.

I didn't deal with someone face to face I called so there was no chance of me reading any information,I called to cancel my telephone at my store and was told that I could get direct tv for 12mo. At 46.99 but like I said that wasn't the truth !! I feel that someone should go back and listen to the recording of the conversation and see what im talking about.

Has your DirecTV equipment actually been installed?

You received an email order confirmation and signed off when the equipment was installed, right?

Regardless how you order DirecTV (over the phone directly, website, AT&T or other 3rd party store, door-to-door sales agent, etc.), you are emailed the order confirmation (regular mail if you don't have an email address). You can have DirecTV email it again for your reference.
