Been 6hrs sense I paid bill in full and still don’t have tv

I paid my bill in full at 10pm. I have a confirmation number. I attempted numerous times to speak to a human but well that’s impossible of course. It’s now 3am and I’m still waiting for my service to be restored. This is ridiculous: I will be honest I’m calling Mediacom in the morning and switching services. I’m constantly having issues and what’s worse. I’m never able to speak to a talking human ever and it’s now only frustrating but very poor customer service and care.

If you paid your bill directly to DirecTV (their official phone or website), then service is usually restored within a few minutes, but can take up to 2hrs. But if you paid by a 3rd party method (in-store, MoneyGram, your bank's bill pay option, etc.) then it can take up to 3 business days for the payment to post. Though if it were a EFT/Electronic check payment made that late, not a card payment, then it may take to the following business day to go through.

 

So go to www.directv.com and log into your account to verify the payment posted. If so then refresh the service authorizations down to the boxes www.directv.com/refresh if they haven't received the update that service is back on. You may need to do a red button reset with this as well. If this is the issue it should have it working within a few minutes.

 

If payment posted, but service not active and refresh/reset doesn't kick it through, then you will need to call DirecTV to discuss the account as they might have to reinstate manually (provided payment was for balance in full and not a bit short).
