Cannot connect RC66RX Remote to either of my Samsung TV's
I just purchased a new set of RC66RX Remotes believing they would answer all my problems and eliminate the need to use two remotes. I've spent 3 hours following the directions by the book and I cannot get the remotes to sync with either of our Samsung televisions. The first step in getting the remotes to sync with the Directv Genie was successful.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to get these RC66RX Remotes to sync with a Samsung TV?

What Genie model number? The RC6x remotes were designed for older equipment. Your Genie might need an RC7x remote.

To manually enter the code for Samsung tvs slide mode switch to TV and press and hold mute and select until light double blinks. Enter 10812. Return mode switch to left position.
Unless you have an old HR34 Genie you would be better off using the RC73 remote as it can be paired in RF mode..

The Genie is a Model C61W-700.
The remote I purchased is an RC66RX. It says the "X" means it does both IR and RF. I have an RC73 Remote and it works fine but the reason I purchased this new remote is, it was on Sale on Amazon for $15.00 for two(2) of them and it has twice the controls the RC73 has. I thought it would replace the Amazon Fire remote we have to use for streaming. It has all the controls to replicate the Fire Remote.
So I need to purchase another remote because this is for older equipment?

C61W is a mini client not a Genie and the RC66RX will not control it in RF only IR.
