What box are you trying to change the WiFi on? Most DirecTV satellite boxes only support 2.4GHz WiFi.

Reset the network defaults then setup a new network using the 5g ssid and provide the password.

Yeah I see this now ... was able to get to the Network Config page to change the WiFi network and it only sees the 2.4 GHz SSID. I'll try to directly enter the 5GHz SSID as shannon02 suggests above but I am guessing it will be 2.4 GHz only.
I'll confirm my testing then ... thanks all ... very insighful responses!

@ChasPA Thanks for reaching out to us about changing your internet speed on your equipment.
Thanks @litzdog911 You're absolutely correct! The receivers are only compatible with a 2.4 Ghz Wi-Fi.
Please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.

The external wireless cinema connection kit only supports 2.4Ghz.
The built-in one, which started with the 2nd generation Genie (HR44) also supports 5Ghz.
