The problem is your King Quest is no longer proper for DirecTV service. That only supports DirecTV's MPEG-2/SD-only feeds. DirecTV has been in the process of shutting down MPEG-2 and going forward with MPEG-4. You will need a slimline SWM dish that you put on a tripod/sled mount or get the Winegard Trav'ler installed.

SD-only TVs haven't been made in over a decade. Change in an era so many people need to update their RV setups.

If the King Quest is no longer proper for direct tv, then why is the King Quest factory still selling them???

They tell you on their website it only works for SD. What they don't tell you is SD is going away.

DIRECTV has been long forcing customers to upgrade their old SD-only equipment and dishes with new high-definition receivers like your H24 and a modern slimline dish. I myself was at one point emailed many times to upgrade my old D11 and D12 receivers in guest rooms but was able to decline because I already have an HD dish and HD receivers like the H24 and HR24. Your setup will STOP working because the King Quest is an SD dish. It will stop working after DIRECTV shuts down SD for sure. Would you expect MPEG-2 feeds to continue working forever? SD has long been discounted for other providers and DIRECTV is finally doing it as well. If you tune to SD channel 214 for example there will be a banner that DIRECTV is upgrading. Try it for yourself. If you don’t get 214, try Fuse TV SD or whatever. The guide itself even shows the program as saying to UPGRADE!

DirecTV announced a decade or so ago that MPEG-2/SD-only was scheduled to shutdown April 2019. They started on time, but some unknown internal challenges and then the pandemic caused the process to slow down. Many already have MPEG-2 shutoff and must replace their equipment or just go without DirecTV.
King Quest is clearing out stock for as long as there are a few who can use them. Also those old dishes and domes are compatible with other providers. Yours can be used by both DirecTV and Dish for example.
Going forward the new dishes don't seem to be interchangeable, so you get the one for the satellite provider you have.
