Directv equipment return

There are no participating fedex/ups equipment return locations within an hour of my area 40701.  I have contacted support 3 times to get a “rescue package” (box and label) but, one never arrives. Can I get a label emailed to me? [EDITED per Community Guidelines - removed personal information]

Nope. What are the model numbers of the receivers?

If you are over 10 miles away from a participating shipper then you should be able to request a prepaid return kit (the old process). They will not ship just a label. Since nothing has arrived, perhaps the box is not returnable anymore. What are the model numbers?

Also this a public forum, not customer support, so never put sensitive info (such as your account number) here.

What both forum responses to this question suggest are correct.  Given the model numbers of the receivers their return was not necessary.  It was an AT&T rep (SMS) which was able to confirm this for me yesterday through online chat.  The representatives with which I spoke on the 800 line must have been generating the “rescue package” request on the units ... and another division  then cancelling the request due to the antiquated model numbers.  As a side note: it is rather difficult to get the phone reps to understand that only Fedex”office” & UPS”store” locations participate in Directv equipment returns - which are scarce in rural areas (2-4 hr commutes for me).  The unit model no.s are HR54-500 & C41-700 if this helps anyone else.  Thanks Shannon02 and Juniper.

C51 is the oldest Mini Genie Client returnable, so your C41 is recyclable.

However, the HR54 should still be returnable as that is the latest generation of the regular Genie line. I would hold onto that one for a couple months or so just to be sure you don't get a non-return fee (NRF) later.
