Hi @Taztou, your post caught our attention.

I want to clarify that when those receivers stop working due to the model being disconnected, most likely it will be necessary to replace it with one that have our latest technology. This type of receivers are being discontinued, meaning that they'll not be able to work properly since there are new technologies that came with our latest receivers. In this case we recommend you to get a replacement with one of our latest receivers. You can get further assistance with Winegard by calling them at 866-609-9374, or going to their website.

If additional questions, let us know. We'll be ready to help.

The H25 (there is no HR25) is SWM only and your Winegard carryout is not SWM capable.

Technically, if you got a SWMD30 multiswitch then it would work..

But, do be aware they are phasing out all MPEG2/SD feeds soon anyway so that Winegard antenna will become useless. However, there are currently four HD channels at the 101 location so perhaps it won’t be ‘useless’ after all.

Not sure if the H25 still has the 18" round dish in the setup guide to select if not then it will search for the HD sats then throw the 771 error code that the dish doesn't get.  Plus DTV shutting down the SD MPEG2 channels.

Good catch. Luckily, since the H25 runs the same software as the H24 and other HD boxes, it still has the 18-inch dish selection. I also confirmed this on an H25 just now.

There is no HR25. The HR24 is the last regular HDDVR. I suspect you mean H25.

Unlike all non-DVR boxes before it, this one is SWM-only just like all Genie setups. You need a slimline SWM dish on a tripod/sled mount or the Winegard Trav'ler.

DirecTV is shutting down their MPEG-2/SD-only feeds. This means all those older carrouts are obsolete for DirecTV. Some of them can still support other satellite carriers, but they are SD-only for DirecTV which means they need to be replaced.

(If they do a SWM-only regular HDDVR to work with the Genies, then HR25 does seem the next logical model number but nothing has been said to this).
