Directv Remote with Philips TV
The install tech was unable to get the Directv remote to change the volume on my Philips tv because when he attempted to type in Philips when searching for my tv to program the remote to match, it failed to find it. Typing in the letter P shows nothing, even though Panasonic is in the list.
How do I program my Directv remote to change the volume on my Philips tv when attempting to add it shows that my brand doesn’t exist?

Unfortunately DirecTV cannot have codes listed for every possible brand. You could do some web searching to see if someone found a compatible code for your model of remote. Otherwsie getting a universal remote (such as from Harmony) is your best bet.
